Our one-day conference draws a diverse and passionate mix of speakers, performers, experiences, and audience members live as well as viewers who watch the event via Livestream in the Cayman Islands and in 200+ cities around the world.

2014: Connecting to Possibility

TEDxSevenMileBeach was founded in 2014 and the first ever TEDx event in the Cayman Islands took place on 3 April at the Harquail Theatre. TEDxSevenMileBeach engaged our community and exposed the world to Cayman’s thought-leaders and talented group of entrepreneurial minds who gathered to attend. With over 9,800 views of TEDxSevenMileBeach 2014 talks on YouTube and over 1,000 views watching via Livestream, this wide-reaching event was nothing short of impactful.

2015: The Life of an Idea: Plant. Nourish. Harvest.

TEDxSevenMileBeach returned for a second staging on 10 June at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort. TEDxSevenMileBeach was again broadcast live through Livestream with over 2,700 unique viewers watching - a 270% increase from 2014. The Livestream viewers were from more than 200 cities worldwide and, in the first 4 weeks of posting, the TEDxSevenMileBeach 2015 talks on YouTube garnered nearly 10,000 views - a significant accomplishment for such a young event.
 

2016: Dream

While TEDxSevenMileBeach was on hiatus, members of the community gathered for a week-long series of intimate watch parties at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort to take in and discuss TED2016 live from the TED stage in Vancouver.

Past TEDxSevenMileBeach speaker was featured on TED.com as part of a TEDx Spotlight on girl power in celebration of the United Nations' International Day of the Girl Child.
